At HwaHyun, Han-Seok Myung primarily practices corporate advisory and corporate criminal laws.

Mr. Myung commenced his legal career at Shin & Kim in 1998, where he focused on bankruptcy and restructuring cases, including settlements and corporate reorganizations. In 2003, he transitioned to Jipyeong, concentrating on real estate development, mergers and acquisitions, and providing a range of advisory services to corporations. During his tenure at Jipyeong, he also led the China team and the Russia/Central Asia team, becoming involved in the resources and energy sector.

In 2006, he pursued further studies at Huadong University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai, China. Subsequently he served as a research fellow at the Legal Research Society of the Overseas Resources Development Association. He also held positions as an external member of the Alternative Investment Committee of the National Pension Fund and an independent director of Samchully Asset Management.

In 2018, he assumed the role of head of the Commercial Law Division at the Ministry of Justice, where he played a pivotal role in revising the Commercial Act and its enforcement regulations, and introducing the class action law and punitive damages. In 2020, he returned to the private practice of law and joined HwaHyun.
